This is open to doctors, nurses, midwives, pre-medical, medical students, social health worker and those interested in rural health care. But please kindly note that we only accept people who really want to give away their time, energy, skills and money to the needy and less fortunate human beings out here.
Lodging and food:
You will be staying in a bamboo hut with a host family in a village. Volunteers will be split into a group of 2 - 4 to a host family.
Sleeping on a mat on the bamboo floor is a simple living with a host family.
Hill tribe food: typical hill-tribe foods contain of rice, chicken, pork, fish, meat, eggs and vegetables are prepared in a hill-tribe way and served by the host family two or three times a day.
Vegetarian foods are also prepared and served by the host family if needed.
Cost of lodging and food:
200 US$ per volunteer per week ( lodging, food and drinking water )
400 US$ per volunteer per two weeks( lodging, food and drinking water )
600 US$ per volunteer per three weeks( lodging, food and drinking water)
800 US$ per volunteer per four weeks ( lodging, food and drinking water)
Funding the project:
Funding for medical supplies is a must for every volunteer. No volunteer is allowed to stay longer than he or she funds for. Funding the project is as follow:
200 US$ for one week-project ( individual or a couple )( You are here for one week )
400 US$ for two week-project ( individual, or couple )( You are here for two weeks )
600 US$ for three week-project ( individual or couple )( You are here for three weeks)
800 US$ for four week-project ( individual or couple )( You are here for four weeks )
Please note that Cost of food and lodging includes bottled drinking water and toilet papers.
Volunteer for free program:
If you want to volunteer for free kindly collect donations from the people, families and relatives for the poor and less fortunate hill-tribes before coming to volunteer with us. The program goes like this: If you can collect donations or raise funds three time more than your weekly expense ( weekly cost for food and lodging ) you shall volunteer for free. But if you raise only two times, you will have to pay half. Check it out below.

This is a mobile clinic that we operate in 35 different hill-tribe villages in the hills. As we treat sick hill tribes we move from village to village. We stay 2-3 days in each village. We cover 3-5 villages in a week and work for 6-8 days at a time before going back to town to collect more medical and food supplies. We also try and meet the underlying cause by installing sanitation and clean water supply since most of the sickness are related to low sanitation and poor water supply.
Funding for medical supplies is a must for every volunteer. We will not be able to accept volunteer that does not fund.
