All That Is Not Given Is Lost
Every single hill tribe life depends on the rice product that comes around once a year in the hilly farm that they cultivate through a traditional agricultural technic, slash and burn, inherited from their forefathers. The hill tribe communities keep on moving from hill to hill doing slash and burn since the soil is good for only one time cultivation. They do this for surviving and the result we see from our view point is deforestation. Since they do it for surviving and what we see is deforestation we will balance the situation. We will leave the forest as natural as possible while we find the alternative way for the hill tribe communities to survive. On the other hand, the local Thai authority already took action against the communities without giving an alternative way for surviving. The action is that every family must stay with that piece of land every year. What happen here is that when the family keep on cultivating on the same soil, they get less and less harvest since the soil is good for only one time cultivation, and the family become poorer and poorer and the communities as a whole. There is a big gap between the communities and the local Thai government as the local Thai government simply stopping the communities from slash and burn without giving them an alternative way for farming. So we are here to close this gap as much as possible by finding an alternative way for the communities. Since hill tribe living and economic mainly depends on the rice product cultivating on the same soil each year some families do not even make 20 US$ a month. For lots of families struggling to survive become a part of their lives and lots end up in jail for smuggling drugs as the last option. So, you and me, we are here as a world communities to find and bring an alternative way to the communities and communities as a whole. Our alternative way here is 'livestock'.

But there are ways to bring 'livestock' to the communities. As a Chinese saying goes " Teach a man how to fish for his life instead of giving him a fish everyday", we will teach the communities how to stock the 'livestock' for their lives toward to that sustainable way of living. Cow, buffalo, pig, goat, sheep, chicken, fish, and bees. These are the livestocks we are talking about. Many families already got a few of this livestocks and we will continue to bring this livestock to every family in the communities. We will continue to build fishery or fish ponds in the villages. We will continue to teach how to bring this livestock to the market for cash. One day every family owns some kinds of livestock for their own income.
We are looking forward to that bright future for the communities and world communities as a whole.
Here we ask every volunteer to take a part in this project by funding one of the livestock for a family or a fish pond for a village. Since we mainly depend on individual donation funding the project here is a must as a volunteer. Funding the project can be done either with your personal financial source or by collecting donations from the people you know. You can fund one of the livestock as follow: Funding is for individual, couple or a group of volunteers.
